San Ginesio is known for being one of the prettiest villages in Le Marche, it is one of the few municipalities to be awarded both the Bandiera Arancione for quality and excellence in tourism and the Borghi Piú Belli D’Italia for it’s beauty! The village sits high up on the fringes of the Sibillini mountains and has commanding views of the magnificent, rolling countryside surrounding it. A stroll down the narrow shaded alleyways transports you back to medieval times allowing you to relax and take in the serenity of the village.
The village is unspoilt by mass tourism, and proud of its culture and traditions which are reflected in the many festivals and concerts that are held throughout the summer months. Food and wine are an integral part of the area, with numerous family-owned and run ristoranti and osterias, serving classical Marchigiano fare (often with Mamma leading the charge in the kitchen). Pride is at the forefront of their offerings, where home-grown and artisan produce is prepared with the love and passion that only Italians have for their food.
